Description
This is a solid form of paper, tightly bound and more hard-wearing than a tortillon. When doing large scale work, I will often work with one of these. I offer four sizes:
- Thin – ideal for small Zentangle work.
- Small – ideal for adults and those with fine control, but who work firmer than a tortillon might allow.
- Medium – perfect for children, and those just learning pressure control. Just a little wider than a normal pencil.
- Large – ideal for large scale work, and big shading.
These are also available in packs of six (two large, two medium, one small & one thin).
To sharpen these paper stumps, a nail file, emery board or fine sandpaper work well, allowing you to clear off colour or re-point the tool.
