Transitions and Spill Out. This is a double video lesson on Transitions /Blending tangles, with a focus on the “Spill Out” technique.
This was a lesson developed over a number of years and then presented at the Yintangle Cairns Retreat in 2023. The lesson has two parts, the first is a prepared worksheet which covers various different ways to transition or blend tangles. It is suggested that you print out the downloadable pdf and then draw directly on one of the worksheet page to follow along to the first video. The second part is drawing a tile which contains a more focused look at “Spill Out’ and the techniques to use that in your tangling.
Materials you will need:
- A Phi tile (or tile 14cm by 8cm / 5 inches by 3 inches)
- your favourite tangling pen
- a tortillon and a pencil
- Colouring medium – if you want to add that to your tile, one shade of water colour pencil and fine brush and water, or other colour medium of your choice.
- Optional: eraser and mechanical pencil (but a sharp point on your pencil works well too)
Once purchased, you’ll receive all the details you need to download the video (approx. 2hrs of tangling time) and a pdf handout to your computer to tangle along to at your own pace and time of day. Available to download up to 3 months after purchase.
